Defender aiming to return from groin injury against Hearts

On-loan defender Mahamadou Sissoko is hoping Udinese will allow him to join Kilmarnock on a permanent basis. Sissoko has impressed in making 28 appearances for Killie this season, although he is currently sidelined by a groin injury. The 22-year-old hopes to return for Saturday's game against Hearts and is also keen to clinch a long-term deal at Rugby Park. "It wouldn't upset me at all if I had the chance to stay in Scotland with Kilmarnock," said Sissoko in the Daily Record.

Settled

"I've enjoyed my time here and have made some good friends. I like Scottish football and I'm settled. The only issue is I don't know what Udinese want to do. "My agent is speaking to them because I'm still under contract and if they want a lot of money for me it will make it hard for Kilmarnock or anyone else to sign me. "I just have to wait and see what happens but I want to try to get fit again before the end of the season and play. "I went to Italy for 10 days to see a specialist and I've returned to full training in the past few days. "I'm hoping I can come back on Saturday but if not I will definitely be looking to get back the following week because I've missed playing."
