Saints defender undergoes knee operation

Mo Camara's surgery has been deemed a success, but the St Mirren defender is still facing six weeks on the sidelines. The full-back has gone under the knife in order to cure a knee ailment. The Guinean suffered cartilage damage during a pre-season friendly against Wigan and has not figured for Gus MacPherson's side this term as a result. However, the Saints boss is pleased to hear that the operation has gone as planned and hopes to have Camara back in contention in the not too distant future. "Mo has now had the operation and it's good news," MacPherson said in the Daily Record. "They've tidied up the knee but the most important part will be the rehab which now begins. "We could be looking at a minimum of six weeks out."
