Hearts midfielder Laryea Kingston would be honoured to captain Csaba Laszlo's team next season. The Tynecastle outfit need a new skipper following Robbie Neilson's departure and Kingston is believed to be one of three candidates for the job. The Ghana international has confirmed his happiness at the club and hopes Hearts can challenge Celtic and Rangers for next season's title.

"I am very happy here and if I was to be asked to be captain it would be a great honour," he told the club's official website. "Hearts is one of the best teams in Scotland and this season hopefully we can challenge the Old Firm. "It would be a very big thing for me to captain the club and I am ready to do it if the manager asks me. "I would bring my experience to the role and try to pass this on to the other players."
