Dundee United manager Craig Levein is looking to secure German youngster Andis Shaila on a permanent basis.
Shaila, 19, has impressed coaching staff at Tannadice during a trial period at the club.
And Levein has confirmed that a deal is on the table as he looks to secure the forward ahead of next season.
Levein told The Press and Journal: "Andis is only young but he did well in training and looks a decent prospect."
The Tangerines are also reportedly tracking Bolton full-back Scott Jamieson and are hopeful of persuading midfielder Mark Kerr to stay at the club.
