Hearts midfielder Eggert Jonsson has signed a new four-and-a-half year deal with the club.
The Icelandic player moved to Tynecastle as a 16-year-old in 2005 and later signed a professional contract.
He broke into the team at the start of the season and has gone on to establish himself as a key player, making 27 appearances.
Jonsson, who was also called into the Iceland squad for the first time in November, has expressed his delight after committing his long-term future to Hearts.
"I am really pleased to get the contract sorted out," he told the club's official website.
"I was always going to stay at Hearts, and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead as you always want to improve."
