Willie Miller says Aberdeen will not improve their contract offers to five players stalling on new deals.

Director of football warns five players

Willie Miller has warned five Aberdeen players stalling on signing new contracts that the offers will not be improved. Chris Clark, Zander Diamond, Michael Hart, Jamie Langfield and Barry Nicholson have all been offered terms to stay at Pittodrie. No agreements have yet been reached and Dons director of football Miller is anxious for the matter to be resolve before the turn of the year. "There will be no improved deals for players who have yet to sign new contracts, regardless if we reach the last 32 of the Uefa Cup," Miller told the Daily Record.

Take it or leave it

"It is now a matter of take it or leave it for these players. I want the situation resolved one way or another within the next two weeks. "The three-and-a-half year deals offered are the best possible with the finances available to me. "Reaching the next phase of the Uefa Cup could generate extra revenue, but it will be directed towards strengthening the team by bringing in one or two new players in January. "It will not be used to offer improved deals to the players who are out of contract in the summer."
