American Toffee men given chance to shine at Fir Park

Motherwell have handed trials to Everton pair Anton Peterlin and Cody Arnoux after the two impressed during an exhibition match. The American duo were part of a Motherwell squad that beat Celtic reserves at Lennoxtown on Tuesday. Midfielder Peterlin and striker Arnoux both arrived at Goodison Park in August 2009 but have been unable to force their way into David Moyes' plans. The pair now have the chance to impress with Craig Brown's SPL outfit, where fellow Toffee Lukas Jutkiewicz is on loan until the end of the season. Well chief Brown was pleased with their performance in the win, telling the club's official website: "The two lads from Everton coped well, particularly Cody, who led the line and caused them problems. "David Moyes is probably going to have to recall Lukas Jutkiewicz at the end of the season so we're taking a look at these lads to see if they're worth a shout." Meanwhile, former Motherwell man Steven McGarry also took part in the practice match. The 30-year-old joined Australian side Perth Glory in January and is back in Scotland to maintain his fitness during the Hyundai A-League's close season.
