Peterborough looking to extend deal for Manchester United starlet

Peterborough's director of football Barry Fry is hoping to thrash out a deal to extend the loan of youngster Ryan Tunnicliffe. The Manchester United midfielder is currently with Posh until January, but has impressed since making the switch to London Road in the summer, making 20 appearances. However, the 18-year-old is highly-rated back at Old Trafford and Fry told skysports.com that Tunnicliffe has all the right attributes to play for the Red Devils one day.

Impact

"One day I can definitely see him getting into the first-team at Manchester United, but remember that he is still only 18 at the minute and he's still learning the game," he said. "When he does come on from the bench he always makes an impact and helps change the game for sure. "I think that he has got one hell of a future in front of him because he is very strong, aggressive in winning the ball and goes from box-to-box all game and there aren't many of those around in the game at the moment. "I can definitely see a bright future for him and hopefully Darren can persuade the boy and Manchester United to keep him here till the end of the season and if that is the case it will be a great signing for us. "When we took him Sir Alex did say that he only wanted him out till January, so we will have to just cross our fingers and hope he changes his mind on that one."
Pugh
Posh were recently linked with non-league starlet Andy Pugh from Welling United, but Fry has poured cold water on the speculation, with the striker set to join Leyton Orient on trial this week. "No, he isn't one that we are looking at all, but we do keep a close eye on a lot of non-league games and players because we like to give those types of players a chance. "He is not on our radar though and we haven't even watched the kid, so not sure about that one."
