MK Dons have accepted Peterborough's offer for Sam Baldock, but have turned down a bid for Stephen Gleeson.

Posh knocked back again in bid for striker's team-mate Gleeson

MK Dons have accepted Peterborough United's offer for Sam Baldock, but have turned down a bid for team-mate Stephen Gleeson. Skysports.com revealed earlier on Wednesday that Posh had made an increased bid for Baldock after having an offer rejected earlier this month. Posh's latest bid, believed to be in excess of £1million, has met MK Dons' approval and Baldock is now due to discuss personal terms. However, Peterborough's bid to also take Gleeson to London Road has been met with a further rebuttal after a first bid two weeks ago was knocked back. League One side MK Dons have confirmed the latest situation regarding the two players and say they have 'reluctantly' accepted the offer for Baldock. A club statement read: "Milton Keynes Dons can confirm we have received bids with improved terms from Peterborough United for both Stephen Gleeson and Sam Baldock. "Whilst we have rejected any proposal for Stephen, a club record bid for Sam, which now matches our valuation, has been reluctantly accepted and Peterborough have accordingly been given permission to speak to Sam regarding a potential transfer to London Road."
