Shoulder blow for Burton

Peterborough United defender Sagi Burton is out with a shoulder injury.

Peterborough United have been dealt an injury blow with the news that defender Sagi Burton is out with a shoulder injury.

The former Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra man faces up to two months on the sidelines after falling awkwardly in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at League One high-flyers Colchester United.

Burton faces an operation to repair the damage to his injured shoulder this week and Posh physio Paul Showler believes the player is set to be out of action for around six to eight weeks.

"Sagi has popped his right acromio-clavicular joint," Showler told the club's official website.

"He just landed on the point of his shoulder and that has popped the joint out of place.

"It requires surgery and he should have the operation on Tuesday."
