Defender joins Vincent as second new arrival
Colchester United have drafted in Preston North End defender Neal Trotman on a one-month loan deal.
U's boss Paul Lambert has moved to bring in Trotman to help provide cover for the injured Paul Reid.
The former Oldham centre-back has recently returned to fitness with a handful of reserve-team fixtures following a long injury lay-off.
Trotman is expected to go straight into the squad for this weekend's clash with League One leaders Leicester City.
The 22-year-old is Colchester's second loan of the day following the capture of Ashley Vincent from Cheltenham until the end of the season.
