Australian midfielder makes move from Foxes

Peterborough have completed the signing of James Wesolowski from Leicester for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old had been linked with several Championship clubs after failing to break into the Foxes' first team this season and impressed in the Scottish Premier League with Hamilton on loan. The Australian-born midfielder, despite having a lot of potential, has been injury prone since moving to the Walkers Stadium from Northern Spirit as a youngster in 2002, twice breaking his leg as well as fracturing an ankle in his short career so far. Wesolowski was happy to make the move to Posh, who were relegated from the Championship to League One after just one season in the second tier, signing a two-year contract at London Road under new manager Gary Johnson.

Confidence

"I had a pretty good season with Hamilton last season and have been given the opportunity to come to Peterborough and I'm looking forward to helping the club achieve promotion," he told the club's official website. "It was a great experience last season. It gave me plenty of confidence and playing against Celtic and Rangers has helped me a lot. "Now my goal is to help Peterborough achieve promotion and I believe we can do that. "The manager was a big part of my decision to come here, he has great experience and I can't wait to play for him."
