Arsenal have sent promising forward Benik Afobe on loan to Championship outfit Reading for the remainder of the season.
The England youth international has previously spent time with Huddersfield in League One, but will now get the opportunity to take in second tier football.
The versatile 19-year-old, who can operate as a central striker or on the wing, will be hoping to help Reading with their promotion push.
Royals boss Brian McDermott is confident the youngster will prove to be a useful addition and will return to Emirates Stadium better for the experience.
He said: "We're delighted to have him, he wanted to come here and that was important because he had other options.
"We know him very well, we have watched him from a very young age. He's played a lot of games for England right up to the under 19s and then out on loan last season as well.
"He's a good addition to the squad and will help us with eight games to go."
