Norwich come from behind again

Cameron Jerome scored to earn Norwich a 1-1 draw against Rotherham

BEAGS SAYS: Obviously going behind provokes a response! When you look at the points they’ve got and the position they’re in, I don’t think Neil Adams has too much to complain about. But he’ll be working on it and looking at the reasons why, and they types of goals they’re conceding. When you’ve got a plethora of striking talent like they have, who are firing at the moment – Lewis Grabban, and Cameron Jerome coming in and taking the pressure off him – then you’ve got every opportunity. It’s all about concentration levels. The most important thing in football, for me, is decision making. Don’t draw pressure on yourself, don’t dwell on the ball in your own half and take risks – play possession and percentage-based football and then work your way forward, and give people freedom to express themselves in the final third. They’ve got some people in there who can score out of nothing.

Managerless Bolton stay rock bottom

Callum Wilson scored twice for 10-man Bournemouth as managerless Bolton slumped to a 2-1 defeat

BEAGS SAYS: Ultimately, what you’ve got to look at is that fact that poor results in isolation don’t get you sacked – it’s the consistently poor results that put you under pressure. As far as Dougie was concerned, looking at their win percentage, for a club like Bolton it’s not good enough. He was at pains to put his finger on why. A lot of the players have got to carry the can to a degree, and individual errors have been in abundance of late, particularly defensively. I don’t think Andy Hughes is qualified for this job. He’s a great professional and has taken charge here, but for 54 minutes Bournemouth were without the full complement of players and still Bolton couldn’t get anything out of the game. The goals against record, with the experience they’ve got there, is not good at all. There are some big names with varying experience up for grabs.

Swindon’s pace causing havoc

A look back at Saturday's action from Sky Bet League One.

BEAGS SAYS: Swindon are playing nice football. They’ve got loads and loads of pace, particularly in the transition when they’ve robbed the opposition who have gone forward in numbers. Michael Smith’s been a revelation since he signed – a tremendous buy and he gets a goal and an assist at Leyton Orient. They’re so expansive, and they’re matching Bristol City goal for goal at the moment. With the pace they’ve got on the counter attack, sometimes it’s better away from home because teams force the issue and throw more bodies forward, and that’s where they’re coming up trumps at the moment.

Colin Cooper walks with Hartlepool struggling

A look back at Saturday's action from Sky Bet League Two.

BEAGS SAYS: I know Colin’s disappointed that it hasn’t worked out. We’ve talked about the mitigating circumstances – it wasn’t quite what was promised. I think over the last couple of seasons they’ve sold players for £1.5million. They’re bottom scorers in the league – they sold Luke James which is going to add problems and repercussions. They’ve only got five goals, none of this money’s being reinvested and Colin’s eventually decided to resign. Brian Laws is renowned for operating at League Two level. He’s very organised, did a remarkable job at Scunthorpe, and he’s one of the favourites for the job.
