Walsall climbed above Lincoln at the top of League Two, while Macclesfield drew.

Walsall climbed above Lincoln at the top of League Two with a 1-0 win at Torquay, while The Imps suffered a rare loss at Stockport.

Ian Roper scored the only goal for Walsall on 53 minutes to give Richard Money's men the three points.

Lincoln, meanwhile, fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Stockport with Michael Rose (56) and Michael Malcolm (90) netting the home side's goals.

Macclesfield are still searching for their first win of the season after a 0-0 draw with Wrexham.

Peterborough beat Accrington Stanley 4-2 after a six-goal thriller at London Road.

Ian Craney (pictured) had the visitors ahead on 23 minutes but Trevor Benjamin equalised from the penalty spot (57) and Danny Crow put the hosts in front (58) early in the second half.

Aaron McClean netted a third for Peterborough two minutes later before Craney reduced the deficit to one goal on 79 minutes.

Crow secured the points for home side with his second and Peterborough's fourth with two minutes remaining in the game.

Milton Keynes Dons continued their good start to the season with a 3-1 win at Grimsby.

Second half goals from Izale McLeod (53) and Aaron Wilbraham (60 & 79) had the visitors in control and Ricky Ravenhill's late goal was mere consolation for The Mariners.

Bury were also 3-1 winners away from home as they beat local neighbours Rochdale at Spotland.

Chris Dagnall (11) and John Fitzgerald (15) exchanged early goals before Andy Bishop's two penalties (29 & 90) gave the visitors the points.

Swindon also lost at home, with Hereford taking the points with a 2-1 victory at the County Ground.

Andy Williams' brace (36 & 81) after Christian Roberts opened the scoring (32) was enough for The Bulls.

Barnet picked up their fourth win of the season away at Hartlepool, Barry Cogan scoring the only goal on 83 minutes.

Craig Disley also netted a late winner with the only goal for Bristol Rovers against Mansfield.

Francis Green snatched a point for Boston with one of six goals in the game with Notts County.

Jamie Stevens opened the scoring for Boston on 24 minutes but goals from Jason Lee (28 & 48) and Alan White (47) had Notts County two goals up.

Anthony Elding began the home side's recovery with 15 minutes remaining before Green's leveller on 86 minutes.

Ten-man Wycombe held Shrewsbury to a 0-0 draw at Gay Meadow after Will Antwi's 54th minute dismissal.
