Bury hit summit, Wycombe held

Image: Daniel Nardiello: Hit a brace in Bury's win over Burton

Bury leapfrogged over Burton at the top of the League Two table thanks to a 3-1 success at Gigg Lane, while Wycombe drew at Portsmouth.

Daniel Nardiello hit a double either side of a Ryan Lowe strike for the Shakers and Albion could only reply with a late consolation from Jacob Blyth. Third-placed Wycombe drew 1-1 at Portsmouth after Sam Wood put Wanderers in front but Johannes Ertl levelled for Pompey in front of a crowd of 16,171 at Fratton Park. John Coleman began his second spell in charge of Accrington with a stunning 5-4 success at Northampton, with Rob Atkinson and John O'Sullivan each bagging a brace for Stanley before Sean Maguire put them 5-2 up in the 84th minute. The Cobblers threatened an amazing comeback when Ivan Toney netted his second and Darren Carter struck in the 94th minute, but time eventually ran out for Town. Keith Curle will also take some heart from his debut as Carlisle boss, even though the Cumbrians fell to a 3-2 defeat at Mansfield, with David Amoo and Kyle Dempsey on target in a spirited rally by United after they conceded an early Lee Beevers goal and a Rakish Bingham double just before the break. Adebayo Akinfenwa claimed the only goal of the game as AFC Wimbledon edged out Morecambe and Mark Cullen broke the deadlock late on, following up after his penalty was saved, as Luton obliged by the same 1-0 scoreline at Cambridge - who had Tom Naylor sent off. Cheltenham drew 1-1 with Dagenham & Redbridge as Joe Hanks equalised in the 87th minute for the hosts after Jamie Cureton had put the Daggers ahead. Marvin Morgan and Nathan Thomas struck as Plymouth beat Hartlepool 2-0, while Graham Cummins and Jordan Moore-Taylor were on target either side of a Danny Holmes goal as Exeter prevailed 2-1 at Tranmere. Myles Weston bagged a penalty and Kevan Hurst and Jack Payne also scored as Southend obliged 3-2 at York, with Russell Penn successful from the spot for the Minstermen and Dave Winfield also replying late on. However, there were no goals in the games between Oxford and Stevenage and Shrewsbury and Newport, who had Andrew Hughes sent off.
