Midfielder not seeking move following interest from other clubs

Bristol Rovers midfielder Stuart Campbell claims that he does not want to exit the club despite being linked with several other teams. The 33-year-old's time with the Pirates seems to be coming to an end due to his team advertising his availability to other clubs. The ex-Grimsby player, who has made over 250 League appearances for Rovers and was caretaker manager last season, says that he does not want to leave the club. "The manager spoke to me last Thursday asking if I wanted to have my name circulated to other clubs. I told him that was up to him." said Campbell to the Bristol Evening Post. "We spoke again on Monday and I told him that I didn't want to leave the club and wasn't looking for a move - and if he wanted to circulate my name, then that was his prerogative. "Now I have been told that my name has gone out to other clubs. I left it up to them and it's not my decision anymore." Exeter City have reportedly enquired about a possible loan move, but Campbell does not appear keen to leave the Memorial Stadium on a temporary basis. "My contract runs until the end of the season, but I definitely don't want to go out on loan," said Campbell. "If the manager or the club wants me to leave, then that's up to them - but I can't see the point of me going somewhere on loan."
