Hereford United have boosted their striking options by signing Nathan Elder on a month's loan from Hayes & Yeading.

Elder joins on loan ahead of visit of Oxford

Hereford United have boosted their striking options by signing Nathan Elder on a month's loan from non-league side Hayes & Yeading. Elder only joined Hayes in the summer after leaving Shrewsbury Town and has yet to score in six appearances in the Blue Square Premier. He has been building up his fitness after failing to make a first-team appearance last season after suffering a serious knee injury during a loan spell at AFC Wimbledon in 2010. The 26-year-old, who has also played for Brentford and Brighton, has arrived at Edgar Street in time to be available for Saturday's game against Oxford United. The Bulls have struggled for goals this season and have netted just four times in 10 games to sit second bottom in the League Two table.
