Blackpool defender heading out on loan

Skysports.com understands Blackpool defender Danny Coid is poised to join Rotherham on loan. Coid, who is Blackpool's longest-serving player, has found himself well down the pecking order at Bloomfield Road this season. The 29-year-old has made only one appearance in the Carling Cup against MK Dons and Ian Holloway is happy to loan him out so that he can get some action. A number of clubs were thought to be keen on landing the versatile defender, but Rotherham have agreed a deal to bring him to South Yorkshire. Millers boss Ronnie Moore has been looking to bolster his defence for some time and he sees Coid's experience and versatility as a key addition to his squad.
