Defender departs Stanley for Mariners
Grimsby have signed centre-half Darran Kempson on a two-year contract from Accrington.
The 25-year-old's arrival makes it three deals in four days for Neil Woods as the Mariners manager builds a squad in preparation for next season's Blue Square Premier campaign.
The acquisition of Kempson bolsters a defence that has lost loanee Olly Lancashire and possibly Paul Linwood after he was placed on the transfer list.
Kempson, who began his career at Preston, has experience of non-league football after loan spells with Accrington and Forest Green during his career.
Another loan spell at Stanley and then Morecambe led to a permanent switch to the Shrimps in 2005.
Since then he has played for Crewe, Bury, Shrewsbury, Wrexham and Accrington once again - his third spell at Stanley came last season when he played 50 times for John Coleman's team.
