Peterborough defender's loan extended until end of January

Dagenham & Redbridge have extended the loan deal of Peterborough United defender Jamie Day until the end of January. Day initially joined the Daggers in late November and he has made five appearances in League Two to date for John Still's side. The 23-year-old does not appear to be in the long-term plans of Posh manager Mark Cooper and has been allowed to stay on with Dagenham. He has made just five appearances for Peterborough this season, and he has started only two games in the Championship. The extension takes Day up to 30th January and means he will be available for Dagenham's next five fixtures, with the deal due to expire after the trip to Lincoln City.
