Burton boss Paul Peschisolido has eased his injury crisis by signing Richard Jackson on a one-month contract.

Pesch's former team-mate to solve right-back dilemma

Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido has eased his injury crisis by signing former Derby County full-back Richard Jackson on a one-month contract. Peschisolido had been without a recognised right-back ahead of Saturday's game against Rotherham United after Ryan Austin joined Andrew Corbett on the treatment table. However, he has solved that problem by bringing in his former Derby and Luton team-mate Jackson on a short-term basis and he is set to face Rotherham. "After the unfortunate injury to Ryan Austin and with Andrew Corbett's absence I felt it was necessary to strengthen the right-back position," Peschisolido told the club's official website. 'Richard Jackson is a player I admire, he's professional and a great lad. "He's a natural full-back and I was reluctant not to sign him the first time after he had been on trial with us." Jackson has been playing in the non-league ranks for Whitby Town on a non-contract basis after leaving Hereford United last summer.
