Grimsby keeper desperate to make impact

Grimsby goalkeeper Nick Colgan has insisted he is raring to go after recovering from a groin injury. The 35-year-old, who only joined the Mariners from Sunderland over the summer, picked up the problem in pre-season. Colgan started Grimsby's first two games of the campaign but the injury became worse and he has been forced to endure a frustrating spell on the sidelines. However, the Irishman is now back in full training and determined to seize his chance when it comes along. "I'm ready to go but it's down to the manager and Dave Moore (physio) to assess what they want to do," he told the Grimsby Telegraphy. "We'll see where we go from here, but I'm keen to make up for lost time. "It's been really frustrating - especially coming to a new club. "It's never nice because you want to get out and show what you are capable of and I've not been able to."
