Defender to ink two-year deal

Danny Coid has agreed a new deal at Blackpool, skysports.com understands. Blackpool have been in talks over a new contract, with Coid's existing deal due to expire later this month. New Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is keen to keep Coid as he looks to build his squad for next season and talks are thought to have gone well. Coid, who is the club's longest serving player, is thought to have been offered a two-year extension with the option of a further 12 months on top of a testimonial later this season. The full-back, who attracted interest from other clubs, is expected to put pen-to-paper in the next few days.
