League Two high flyers sign Chelsea ace until end of the season

Wycombe have confirmed the signing of Chelsea youngster Lee Sawyer on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old has already enjoyed two loan spells this season with League One side Southend and more recently with Championship outfit Coventry. Manager Peter Taylor was keen to bring a goalscoring midfielder into his squad and now feels he has got his man. Sawyer has been at Stamford Bridge since the age of nine and has represented England at U16, U17 and U19 level. "I'm absolutely delighted to have got him," Taylor told the club's official website. "He is a tremendous midfield player, who I know did superbly well at Southend United earlier in the season. "They were desperate to keep hold of him but were unable due to the 93 day rule. I did try and get Lee a couple of weeks ago and have carried on working to make sure we signed him. "I also would like to thank Chelsea for all their help in allowing Lee to join us."
