Wrexham midfielder to sign at Blundell Park

Midfielder Chris Llewellyn has agreed to join Grimsby on a two-year deal from Wrexham. Llewellyn, who has been capped twice by Wales, started his career at Norwich City before moving on to Bristol Rovers and then Wrexham. The 28-year-old is expected to travel to Blundell Park on Monday to put pen to paper and will become Alan Buckley's fourth signing of the summer.

Adaptable

Buckley told the club's official website: "Obviously we are delighted to be signing Chris. The paperwork has to be completed but the player has agreed to join us. "He is quite an adaptable player who can play wide on the left, just off the front man, on the left of a three-man midfield. "He's a good experienced footballer who has had a good education in the game at Norwich. "Ciaran (Toner) left, who had played the majority of his games out on the left, and that is an area where I expect him to play most of his games."
