Striker happy to have been with Dons

Striker Drewe Broughton insists he has no regrets about joining MK Dons after being released. The 27-year-old managed just 19 appearances after signing from Chester and watched from the sidelines as his team-mates secured a League Two title and Johnstone's Paint Trophy double. "I had a good idea it was coming," Broughton told the club's official website. "Things like this happen, I've been in the game long enough to know that and I'll start next season with a point to prove both to myself and the Milton Keynes fans. "It was a disappointing season for me, I never felt I really got going after pre-season. The team was winning so chances were few and far between and you can accept that, but it does make it difficult to get any momentum going. "It was a great season for the club and it was great for me to play a part in it, albeit a small part, and I've enjoyed the year I've been here. I've absolutely no regrets."
