Macclesfield have completed the loan signings of Sean Hessey and Ryan Cresswell until the end of the season
Silkmen boss receives loan joy
Macclesfield boss Ian Brightwell has been handed a double transfer boost after securing the services of Sean Hessey and Ryan Cresswell until the end of the season.
Hessey's initial loan spell at Moss Rose had expired - but Chester have agreed for the 29-year-old to extend his stay with the Silkmen.
Brightwell has also expressed his delight at the capture of Sheffield United defender Cresswell.
The 20-year-old centre-half is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blades - but has had regular first-team football during loan spells at Halifax, Rotherham and most recently Morecambe during the last year.
Silkmen boss Ian Brightwell said: "I'm delighted to get Ryan down to Moss Rose as I know he's a player Bryan Robson rates highly.
"At 6ft 2in he has the height that we have probably been lacking at the back and certainly adds to our defensive options."
