Spurs keeper will stay for League Two promotion campaign

Tottenham goalkeeper David Button has extended his loan spell at Shrewsbury until the end of the season. The keeper moved to the Prostar Stadium in November on a youth loan deal, which has now been turned into a standard emergency loan following his 21st birthday at the weekend. Button, a product of Spurs' youth academy, has established himself as the first-choice keeper for the Shrews - making 16 appearances and keeping six clean sheets. "I'm delighted to have signed the new loan and hopefully with the way things are going we can continue to push on and get some more good results," Button told the club's official website. The League Two outfit have signed the Englishman for the maximum 93-day period, which will include the play-off dates should the Shrews maintain their position in the top seven.
