Skysports.com understands Craig Dobson is set to sign for League Two promotion hopefuls Brentford.
The midfielder has been without a club since having his contract at MK Dons cancelled by mutual consent earlier in the year.
Dobson underwent a trial at the Bees in February and has done enough to earn a stay at Griffin Park.
A well travelled career has seen the skilful 25-year-old enjoy spells at Crystal Palace, Cheltenham Town, Barnet, Cambridge City, Stevenage Borough and MK Dons.
Brentford currently top League Two by six points from Rochdale and Gillingham.
