Millers on the move

Rotherham's attacking duo Richie Barker and Paul Warne are poised to join Mansfield.

Rotherham United's attacking duo Richie Barker and Paul Warne are poised to join League Two side Mansfield Town.

Barker has agreed to link up with The Stags on a free transfer while Warne is heading to Field Mill on a month's loan.

Millers boss Ronnie Moore has been looking to create room in his squad for new signings and has opted to sanction the departures of Barker and Warne.

Only last week, Barker rejected the chance to join Brentford and Grimsby Town on loan but has happily settled for a permanent exit from Millmoor.

The 29-year-old spent almost four years with Rotherham and has featured in the majority of the club's games this season.

But he has now concurred on terms to drop down from Championship level and is waiting for the paperwork to be pushed through.

Warne has appeared sporadically for the struggling Millers this season and his temporary switch to Mansfield will be completed on Friday.
