Full-back suffered injury against Carlisle
Chesterfield have announced that Gregor Robertson suffered a broken leg during his side's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Carlisle.
The 25-year-old full-back was carried off on a stretcher midway through the first half following a challenge with Tom Taiwo which led to the quarter-final tie being held up for eight minutes.
The club feared the worst immediately after the incident and X-rays at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on Tuesday night confirmed a break.
Robertson now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines but it is not yet known exactly how long the lay-off might be.
