Blackburn youngster happy to sign a new contract

Blackburn Rovers youngster Josh Morris is hoping to repay manager Steve Kean's faith after signing a new contract at Ewood Park. Sky Sports revealed earlier this week that Morris had agreed a deal until 2014 and he has now finalised the contract extension. The 20-year-old has made one substitute's appearance for Rovers this season against Manchester United after featuring five times for the club last term. The midfielder is tipped for a bright future at Blackburn and he is now aiming to feature more regularly in Kean's plans after resolving his future. "The manager has already shown his trust in young players and that was one of the main reasons why I was happy to extend my stay at the club," Morris told the club's official website. "It's a great place for young players to be and hopefully I can repay the faith that they have shown in me. "To get another two-and-a-half years is a good foundation, so hopefully I can kick on now and get some more games under my belt."
