Winger wants Bradford boss to stay and finish the job

Omar Daley has urged Bradford City boss Stuart McCall to not through the towel in. The Bantams manager - in his second season in charge at Valley Parade - threatened to quit the club last month if they failed to reach the play-offs. This seems to be the case as the Bantams have failed to win in nine games to drop off the play-off pace. McCall will announce his decision following a meeting with the board at the end of the season but Jamaican winger Daley has urged a rethink. He wants the Bantams boss to finish what he has started and take the club up the leagues in future seasons, just as he did as a player.

Frustrating

Daley, who is out until November following surgery to repair cruciate ligament damage, told the Telegraph and Argus: "If anyone knows the gaffer, he's a winner. It must be so frustrating for him to see the position the team is in. "He's a young manager who is eager to achieve big things and I think he will. The understanding between the gaffer and me has been really good. He might be on the sideline but he coaches with a passion. "At first when he'd just come in, I didn't realise that and I used to get angry whenever he said things to me. But I soon realised that he is a passionate coach and needed you to do well. "Hopefully the situation will be resolved quickly - and I'm hoping he's going to still be at this club because he's really settled me in."
