Harry Arter is the latest player to commit his future to AFC Bournemouth after signing a three-and-half year contract.
Arter arrived at the Goldsands Stadium from Woking in 2010 and has since clocked up over 150 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side.
The 25-year-old midfielder scored five goals in the final five matches of 2014 to help the Cherries climb top of the Championship table.
His goalscoring feat was rewarded with a PFA fans’ award and the Sky Bet Championship Play of the Month award in December.
Arter joins Steve Cook, Simon Francis, Tommy Elphick, Charlie Daniels and Matt Ritchie in signing new deals.
“Harry and Matt Ritchie are key players in what we are striving to achieve so to have tied them both to long contracts in the space of a week has been great business," chief executive Neill Blake told the Daily Echo.
“The manager has made it perfectly clear that he wants to keep the squad together and improve it and this is another huge statement of intent by the club.
“Harry can be a big player for us as we look to progress and his decision to sign a new contract shows he has faith in the club’s ambition.”
