Magies midfielder goes out on loan in search of experience

Leyton Orient have signed Newcastle's Michael Richardson on a month-long loan deal. The 19-year-old has been dispatched to the east London club to gain some first-team football to aid his development as a professional player. Richardson was on the bench for the Magpies for the games against Fulham and Arsenal last term, just six months after he stopped being an electrician to concentrate on football full-time. The midfielder was given a trial last summer after he was scouted playing for non-league Walker Central. He quickly made an impact on the Under-18 and Reserve sides with his industrious approach to his game on the field. O's manager Russell Slade could hand Richardson his debut on Sunday against Walsall if his loan is given clearance by the Football League and Premier League in time.
