Seasiders host Tractor Boys, Eagles fly to Boro

Early Championship pace-setters Blackpool host Ipswich on Saturday, while bottom side Crystal Palace face the tough trip to Middlesbrough. Ian Holloway's Blackpool have bounced back from the heartache of defeat in last season's play-off final with successive victories over Millwall and Leeds. But it will be tough to make it a perfect three wins against unbeaten Ipswich, who followed up their opening 1-1 draw with Blackburn with a 1-0 win at Watford. Dave Jones' Sheffield Wednesday have enjoyed an unbeaten start to their return to the Championship, showing their mettle to battle back from two goals down to draw at Derby and then beat Birmingham 3-2 at home in midweek. The second-placed Owls next face a Millwall side who will be buoyed by their midweek 1-0 win at Peterborough. Fellow-promoted side Charlton are also unbeaten with four points from their opening two matches and next host a Hull City side looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat at Blackburn.

Double up

That victory pushed Blackburn into fourth spot in the early table and Steve Kean's side will be looking to double up against Leicester, who went down 2-1 at the Addicks last time. Unbeaten Cardiff sit just outside the early play-off positions and the Bluebirds travel to a Bristol City side who thumped Crystal Palace 4-1 last time to rise to eighth in the table. Burnley came back down to earth after beating bitter rivals Bolton on the opening weekend with a late 3-2 loss at Middlesbrough in midweek. Eddie Howe's Clarets next travel to a Huddersfield side looking for their first win back in the Championship under Simon Grayson. Relegated Wolves got their first victory under new boss Stale Solbakken with a comprehensive 3-1 home success over Barnsley last time and will be looking to double up against Derby, who have taken just one point from their opening two games to sit in the bottom three. Other strugglers Crystal Palace go in search of their first points of the campaign at Middlesbrough, who will be buoyed by their victory over the Clarets after their opening 1-0 loss at Barnsley.
Successive defeats
Peterborough are also without a point after successive defeats to Leicester and Millwall and next up for Darren Ferguson's side are Leeds, who went down 2-1 at Blackpool last time. Brighton sit just outside the relegation zone and Gus Poyet's team take on a Barnsley outfit aiming to bounce back from their Wolves defeat. In the Saturday evening kick-off, being shown live on Sky Sports 2 at 5.20pm, Gianfranco Zola's Watford entertain Birmingham looking for their first home win of the season. In the Friday night game, being shown on Sky Sports 1 at 7.45pm, sixth-placed Nottingham Forest can go to the top of the Championship with a win over Bolton. But it will be tough against the Trotters who will be in good spirits after their 2-0 win over Derby last time.
