Hal Robson-Kanu spared Reading's blushes as they drew 1-1 with Championship side Brighton in Michel Kuipers' testimonial match.
Kuipers played the first 15 minutes in goal for the Seagulls before being replaced by Tomasz Kuszczak with Brighton opening the scoring from the penalty spot.
Alex Pearce conceded the spot-kick after 32 minutes, upending Ashley Barnes, with Vicente Rodriguez stepping up to convert from 12 yards.
Some bright play from Reading yielded results in the second half though, with Robson-Kanu eventually levelling the scores on the 90-minute mark.
Billy Sharp managed to salvage a 1-1 draw for
