Sky Sports understands Ipswich and Brighton are tracking Burnley midfielder Dean Marney. Marney is entering the final year of his contract at Turf Moor this summer and a number of clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on his situation. The former Tottenham man has established himself as a key member of the Burnley side since arriving from Hull in the summer of 2010. The 28-year-old enjoyed an impressive end to the season with Burnley and his performances have alerted Championship rivals Ipswich and Brighton. Ipswich boss Paul Jewell has admitted he is keen to bring in several new signings this summer and Marney is thought to figure highly on his wanted list, while Brighton chief Gus Poyet is thought to be an admirer of the playmaker. Burnley boss Eddie Howe will be keen to keep Marney as he looks to build a side capable of challenging for promotion next season.
