Brighton manager Gus Poyet is not concerned about the future of winger Vicente and is pleased with the Spaniard's performances for his team this season.
Injury-prone Vicente has been in good form for the Seagulls recently after overcoming his health issues, having joined the Championship side last summer.
The former Valencia star's good performances have prompted suggestions that he will leave Brighton this summer, but Poyet insists that he is not worried about losing the 30-year-old at the moment and that he is more concerned about how they finish the 2011/12 campaign.
"I've got no doubt," Poyet told
The Argus. "I think everybody is just checking if he can play every game and if he does he can go to better places no doubt.
"If that happens it will be because he has done very well.
"We cannot stop things happening. We do the best for the players and if they go to a better place at least the staff of this football club are very happy.
"Of course, we would like to keep the best ones but it's life and we want the best for the players.
Keeping fit
"If he is the best between now and the end of the season that will mean we are in the play-offs. If he is the best then maybe we will be in the Premier League.
"If he goes to a bigger club we will always remember. We will probably put a picture in the dressing room corridor of Vicente but I am not bothered at all about that, I just want him to be playing week in, week out.
"He's getting better, so let's hope we keep him fit to the end."
