Brighton winger signs contract until 2015

Brighton winger Craig Noone has committed his future to the club by signing a contract until the summer of 2015. The 24-year-old had been interesting Championship rivals Cardiff City having impressed this season for Gus Poyet's side. Noone believes the South Coast club is going places and he is delighted to have resolved his long-term future. "I'm delighted," he told the club's official website.

Going places

"I set my sights on a long-term contract so I'm very happy to get it sorted, because this club is going from strength to strength. "There is a great bunch of lads, a great stadium, brilliant coaching staff and I love the city. I want to continue being part of things here." Poyet knows Noone played a big part in last season's promotion and he is delighted with his transition to England's second tier. "We are delighted Craig has committed his long-term future to the club and agreed a new deal," commented Poyet. "He was a key player for us in the second half of last season and has already established himself as a top Championship player."
