Favourites kept apart in last eight

The draw for the last eight of the FA Cup kept apart the favourites as Stoke were pitted against Liverpool, while Chelsea will face Leicester if they come through a replay at Birmingham. Tottenham will also have a home tie against Bolton if they can see off Stevenage at the second attempt, while Sunderland travel to Everton. Harry Redknapp's Spurs were expected to stroll past their League One opponents in the fifth round but a goalless draw has left them with work still to do at White Hart Lane. The Londoners would then meet Premier League strugglers Bolton in the quarter-finals, with the Trotters having knocked out Millwall on Saturday. Stoke, conquerors of League Two side Crawley in the fifth round and beaten finalists last year, will be on the road again to play Liverpool at Anfield. Liverpool booked their place in the quarter-finals in emphatic style, brushing aside Brighton 6-1 in the final tie of the weekend. Chelsea's campaign looked set to reach a new low when they fell behind to Birmingham, but a Daniel Sturridge equaliser means the sides will battle it out again at St Andrew's. Andre Villas-Boas may already be sensing an excellent opportunity to progress to the semi-finals, though, having been handed another assignment against a Championship side if Chelsea are successful in their replay. Leicester produced an impressive performance to beat Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road thanks to David Nugent's late winner. Sunderland were also in top form as they ended Arsenal's FA Cup dreams on Saturday, but they must now take on Everton. There is a feel-good factor around both sides at present but it is David Moyes' men who have home advantage for a fourth straight tie following their most recent victory over Blackpool.
