Manchester duo pitted together; Tamworth get Everton trip

Manchester City will begin their defence of the FA Cup with a home game against Manchester United in the clash of the third round, while Tamworth travel to Everton. City beat United in the semi-finals last season on their way to lifting the trophy at Wembley, and the Manchester duo are currently first and second in the Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson's men will now have the opportunity to gain revenge for their semi-final elimination, and 6-1 home defeat earlier this season, after the draw sent them to the Etihad Stadium in round three. The hope for non-league and lower league teams that reach this stage is to be pitted against one of the Premier League giants, and Tamworth of the Blue Square Bet Premier now have the chance to realise their FA Cup dream after being drawn to face Everton at Goodison Park. Chelmsford City could also face top-flight opposition in the form of Bolton, although they will first have to win through a replay against Macclesfield to book a home tie. There is a repeat of the 2010 final as Chelsea welcome Championship outfit Portsmouth to Stamford Bridge, while last season's beaten finalists Stoke journey to Tony Pulis' former club Gillingham. Arsenal have been drawn against Leeds for the second year in a row, with the Gunners having come through last season after a replay at Elland Road. Premier League high-flyers Tottenham have a home clash with Cheltenham to look forward to, Liverpool meet Southend or Oldham and Newcastle face Blackburn in an all-Premier League affair. There are a couple of intriguing derby ties, with Birmingham entertaining Wolves and Nottingham Forest at home to Leicester.
