Saints and West Ham look to stay in charge at the summit

Southampton and West Ham look to continue their dominance of the Championship this weekend. Leaders Southampton returned to winnings ways in midweek to maintain a two-point lead at the summit. The Saints are on the road this weekend as they travel to bottom-of-the-table Doncaster Rovers. West Ham come into the game off the back of four successive wins and they could go top with victory at Upton Park as they host Burnley. The likelihood is that the top two will move further clear as third-placed Cardiff City do not play until Sunday against Birmingham City. Middlesbrough, in fourth, feature in the late Saturday game against in-form and resurgent Bristol City, which you can see live on Sky Sports HD2. Another live match can been seen on Friday evening, when midweek Carling Cup heroes Crystal Palace host Derby County. Leeds have the chance to move level with Cardiff in third, as they kick-off early on Saturday against Millwall at Elland Road. Nigel Pearson has revitalised Leicester's promotion charge since his return to the club and he faces a trip back to former side Hull City on Saturday. After two wins in succession Brighton have the chance to move back into the top six and they host Nottingham Forest - who slipped into the bottom three in midweek. Coventry City are the other side who make up the bottom three and they travel to Portsmouth, who will look to put their off-field troubles to one side at Fratton Park. Blackpool have stuttered in recent weeks having not won for three outings and they will look to return to some form with Reading the visitors to Bloomfield Road. Only one point separates fourth from bottom Ipswich and Watford, and the two clash at Portman Road. Finally, both Peterborough and Barnsley could move into the top half of the table if either claim victory at London Road.
