Leaders Southampton look to maintain form

Championship leaders Southampton are on the road on Saturday and they could extend their lead to eight points. The Saints went five points clear in midweek, and they will look to continue their excellent run of form as they take on third-from-bottom Coventry at the Ricoh Arena. Second placed West Ham dropped points on Tuesday as they were surprisingly held at home by lowly Bristol City, and they will look to return to winning ways at Hull City - who could move into fourth with victory themselves. The weekend's live match in the Championship is on Saturday evening, with third placed Middlesbrough hosting Watford at The Riverside - live on Sky Sports HD2. The match of the weekend in the Championship is surely taking place in South Wales - with fourth and fifth clashing as Cardiff City and Crystal Palace meet. Derby County dropped out of the top six after losing on Wednesday, and they will look to return to winning ways at Peterborough United - who are coming off the back of three successive defeats. Blackpool are on a high after their midweek thrashing of Leeds United, and victory over Millwall at Bloomfield Road could take them back into the play-off places. New Bristol City boss Derek McInnes is looking for their upturn in fortunes to continue as they face an out-of-sorts Burnley at Ashton Gate. Bottom-of-the-table Doncaster Rovers are looking for their first win in more than a month as they travel to Suffolk to take on Ipswich Town. The final game on Saturday sees Steve Cotterill make a quick return to Fratton Park as he takes his new charges Nottingham Forest to tackle his former club Portsmouth.

Sunday

On Sunday there are three games which have been moved from Saturday due to a variety of different reasons. Brighton host Barnsley at the Amex Stadium due to the Lewes Bonfire Celebrations the night before. Leicester City's clash at home to Leeds United is moved due to a clash with Leicester Tigers playing on Saturday, whilst Birmingham's continuing Europa League adventure means their clash at Reading is also switched.
