Scans confirm leg break for midfielder

Brighton midfielder Gary Dicker could be out until February after breaking his leg against West Ham. The 25-year-old was stretchered off late into Monday's 1-0 defeat and scans later revealed a fractured fibula. Dicker will now undergo an operation early next week and the Seagulls' official website confirmed he could miss "12 to 14 weeks". The Dubliner joined Albion from Stockport in 2009 and has established himself as a key member of Gus Poyet's side. The injury may force Poyet into the transfer market to bring in a replacement for Dicker.
