Huddersfield Town have handed a new two-year deal to Michael Collins.

The 18-year-old midfielder has impressed greatly since making his debut earlier this season.

The Republic of Ireland youth star has now pledged his future to The Terriers until 2007.

"Michael has been one of the success stories of this season," said Town boss Peter Jackson.

"He is an excellent player and has already been recognised at international level."

Jackson was also pleased that full back Danny Adams had agreed a new one-year deal.

"I'm pleased we've managed to get his signature. He's done very well since he came here and he's proved to be a good asset," said Jackson.
