The Terriers have offered six players new one-year contract deals at the McAlpine Stadium.
The six players include Martin Smith, Nathan Brown, Paul Scott, Chris Holland, Adie Moses and Phil Senior.
Smith is rumoured to be a target for his former club Sunderland, following their relegation to the Nationwide League.
The club's new owners have moved to release eight players from the side, with Ben Austin, Chris Brown, Gareth Evans, Simon Baldry, Thomas Heary, Kenny Irons, Eddie Youds (pictured) and Kevin Sharp all needing to find pastures new next term.
They are joined by three academy players - Lee Padgett, Danny Clapham and Greg Kelly - in having to find new clubs over the summer.
