Peterborough have completed the signing of highly-rated striker Emile Sinclair from Macclesfield for an undisclosed fee.

Ferguson delighted to add striker to his squad before deadline

Peterborough United have completed the signing of highly-rated striker Emile Sinclair from Macclesfield Town for an undisclosed fee. Sinclair has signed a three-year deal with the Championship side after catching the attention of a number of scouts with his improved performances this season. The powerful front man scored twice in the Silkmen's Carling Cup win over Hull and added another against Bolton in the second round. Posh Manager Darren Ferguson said: "Emile is very quick, he is someone who can really penetrate the opposing defence and I think in the last two games we have missed someone with that style of play. "We have known about him for a while and he is a talented lad. "Barry Richardson, our goalkeeping coach, has actually worked with him before so we know all about him. "He can play wide and has actually played most of his career as a winger, but he has played down the middle and that is where we will look to play him."
