Carruthers unsure over future

Chris Carruthers is keen on extending his stay at Bristol Rovers.

Chris Carruthers is keen on extending his stay at Bristol Rovers but has not been informed if the club would like to retain his services.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan from Northampton after falling down the pecking order at Sixfields and is enjoying his football in Bristol.

Carruthers is looking to end the season on a high with The Pirates and is looking for his future to be sorted out sooner rather than later.

"I've certainly been much more involved in the first team picture here than I was at Northampton," explained Carruthers to the club's official website.

"I knew about seven or eight players before I got here and it made things much easier. I've settled in well, and I'm really enjoying being a part of things again.

"Hopefully I can stay in the side at Wycombe, and then we'll have to see what happens after that. Nobody's said anything to me so we'll just have to wait and see.

"I guess I'm a bit in limbo, but the season's not over yet, and who knows what's going to happen over the summer."
